The Mimas necklace is a fixed design of matte glass beads symmetrically detailed with gold beads at its center and adorned with a pair of dissimilarly-sized free-moving orbs. Reminiscent of a planet and its satellite.
The collection name, Selene, is drawn from Greek Mythology – she is the goddess of the moon. Within this collection, each design is named after a moon orbiting a planet within our galaxy. Mimas is a moon to Saturn.
Working with Japanese glass seed beads in exceptionally small proportions, the designs in our Selene Collection highlight the fluidity in the nature of the materials and the precious quality of subtle details. Accented with 14k gold-filled beads, we created patterns and details that work beautifully in singular presentation or in layered combinations.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in our San Francisco studio.
